After talking with Orion and her half-brother Milan, Wonder Woman discovers that Zola's child is in the care of Demeter and Hermes. She returns to the apartment to search for Zola and Hera but find them missing. Orion uses the boom tube to locate them utilizing a strand of Hera's hair. The two of them are in a bar alongside War, Strife and Dionysus. After the arrival of the two heroes, Wonder Woman demands that Hera take her to Demeter, but as she has been stripped of her divine powers she cannot. Instead War offers to take her, even though Diana knows that he may be planning to kill her. She agrees and the two travel to Demeter's secret lair. Once they arrive there they are attacked by Hermes, who wounds War and threatens Diana.
